Ideal for a quiet escape, this picturesque circular walk around the River Irt takes you through beautiful woodland and along the riverbank. Location: River Irt, Nether Wasdale

Length: 1.75 miles | 2.8km

Time: 30-45 min

Difficulty: Easy

Accessibility: Flat, easy going with some tree roots underfoot in the woods, can be muddy

Transport: Wasdale shuttle runs during the summer

Parking: Small National Trust car park at Nether Wasdale. Please consider donating if you are not a member.

Refreshments: The Sawmill Cafe & Farm Shop, The Strands Hotel, The Screes Inn
