Meeting on the second Saturday of the month, Saturday’s at Walkmill is a volunteer group that helps with practical conservation tasks at Walkmill Community Woodland. Activities will include coppicing, tree and hedge planting, wildflower meadow maintenance and footpath maintenance.
When: Saturday 11th November, 10.00am-3.00pm
Where: Walkmill Community Woodland, Moresby Parks, near Whitehaven
What: Scrub clearance and work on the tree and wildflower nursery
Booking is essential. Please click here to sign up as a volunteer and book on to this event.
Please bring waterproofs, clothing suitable for the weather and that you don’t mind getting muddy (long sleeves and trousers are recommended), sturdy footwear (wellies are recommended in the winter!), lunch, drinks, hat, gloves if you have them (we can provide them if you don’t have any) and any personal medication/inhalers etc you need for the day.

Tools will be provided. No experience necessary. There are no facilities on the site.
