Morning Wellbeing Sessions at Walkmill Community Woodland

  • Moresby Rugby Union Club Whitehaven, England, CA28 United Kingdom (map)

Spending time outdoors and helping to nurture and conserve nature can have many benefits, including helping to reduce stress and anxiety, improving physical health, reducing loneliness and allowing people to feel connected to nature. As part of the Wilder Walkmill project we are encouraging people to spend some time outside in the woodland with us. We will be running regular morning wellbeing sessions throughout the year (usually on the second and third Tuesday of the month) where we will be doing a variety of activities including seed harvesting and planting, fire lighting, cooking, woodwork and arts & crafts, to name just a few.

When: Tuesday 12th March, 10am-12pm

Where: Walkmill Community Woodland (meet at Moresby Rugby Club)

What: We will go for a gentle walk around the woodland looking at the different trees and learning how to identify them in winter. We will then harvest a piece of willow each and then pot these up ready for you to take home and grow your own willow tree.

No experience is necessary and we will provide all the tools and materials.
