Morning Wellbeing Session at Walkmill Community Woodland

  • Moresby Rugby Union Club Moresby Parks CA28 8XW (map)

Spending time outdoors and helping to nurture and conserve nature can have many benefits, including helping to reduce stress and anxiety, improving physical health, reducing loneliness and allowing people to feel connected to nature.

When: Tue 14 May, 10am-12pm

Where: Walkmill Community Woodland (meet at Moresby Rugby Union Club)

What: We will go for a walk around the woodlands and forage for some flowers and leaves. We will then use a hammer to release the dyes in this foliage and make prints on to paper. These prints can then be used to make our own cards.

Research shows that just being in nature for just 2 hours per week can have a significant benefit to our health.

We will also collect some flowers and leaves to take home to press in preparation for making a wildflower ID journal the following week.

Who: Suitable for all abilities, no experience is necessary and we will provide all the tools and materials.

Notes: Please ensure you wear clothing and footwear suitable for the weather and for an outdoor setting. Sturdy footwear is advised. Participants must be 18+

Thanks to our funders: National Lottery Heritage Fund, Sellafield Ltd SiX - Social Multiplied Impact Programme and supported by The Environment Agency.

This event is free, but you need to book a place
