Introduction to Tree/Hedge Planting
Spending time outdoors and helping to nurture and conserve nature can have many benefits, including helping to reduce stress and anxiety, improving physical health, reducing loneliness and allowing people to feel connected to nature. Research shows that being in nature for just 2 hours per week can have a significant benefit to our health.
As part of the Wilder Walkmill project we are encouraging people to spend some time outside in the woodland with us. We will be running regular Wellbeing in Nature sessions throughout the year where we will be doing a variety of activities including seed harvesting and planting, fire lighting, cooking, woodwork and arts & crafts, to name just a few.
