Working practices during Covid-19

23rd March 2020 - General Catchment

Along with the rest of the UK and based on current government advice, we have implemented changes to the way we work due to Covid-19. Our aim is to minimise the risk of infection for our staff and those we work with.

All our staff are now working from home. Fieldwork and site visits (lone working) are only going ahead when appropriate depending on the latest Government advice, and with strict biosecurity measures are in place. Social contact with farmers, landowners and other individuals is being avoided and conversations, meetings and other activities are being held via phone, email or teleconference.

Our visitor centre at 32 Lake Road, Keswick is closed until further notice. Public and volunteer events are on hold until further notice.

We are following the latest government guidance closely and revising our approach as appropriate. This page will be kept up-to-date with the latest position and updates will be shared on our social media channels as necessary.
