Take part in our workshops, or just drop in to find out about what’s going on in your local river
10.30am & 1.30pm Freshwater Habitats Trust – introduction to clean water sampling citizen science. Work your way around the testing kit and get started on your local beck!
11.30am & 2.30pm Cumbria Biodiversity Data Centre – introduction to recording wildlife you see on the riverbank, why it’s important and what to look out for!
12.30pm WCRT – a look at the wonderful variety of invertebrates living in your local rivers and how to ID them, with an introduction to the Riverfly Monitoring Initiative citizen science programme. 3.30pm session tbc
11am & 1.30pm – get a shock with non-lethal electrofishing surveys! Enjoy a close encounter with the fish living in your local beck. Book a place with Karin
