We successfully completed the Whit Beck River Restoration project in 2014. This involved taking Whit Beck out of its approximately 350m of un-natural raised, straightened and embanked channel and creating a new more natural meandering channel of approx. 1200m through its natural floodplain. Being a large scheme it’s difficult to take it all in from ground level but we have now produced a new aerial film which shows the full scale of the project following its first winter of naturalisation.
