This month we shall be continuing to remove rhododendron and redundant deer fencing from a woodland adjoining the River Irt. The rhododendron is preventing enough light from reaching the river. By cutting back the rhododendron and selected trees we will create more ‘dappled shade’ which is much better for the river and its inhabitants. Access for angling will also be improved.
