Tree Planting Ennerdale

31st March 2016

As part of the Pearls in Peril Project, we will be planting 1,000 mixed species native trees trees along the banks of the River Ehen in Ennerdale on Thursday, 31st March.

Planting trees has so many benefits from providing food and shelter for animals to binding riverbanks so that less silt enters the watercourse which is very damaging to freshwater mussels and also to fish and other species.
