Tree planting

26th February 2016

Come along and help us plant lots of trees and shrubs at Hayton Castle.  Times yet to be confirmed.

The trees you plant will create homes for wildlife, hold the river banks together, create shade and habitat for fish and other river species, trap sediment and nutrients so they don’t enter the river and use lots of water to help prevent flooding.

Tea and soup will be provided as will tools, but please let us know if you are planning to attend via info@westcumbriariverstrust.org
